One day sea kayaking trip from Star Outdoors Kenmare to Sneem

Distance: 22 km
Duration: 7 – 8 hours
Starting time: 10:00am, lunch 1 hour on island

Food: You will be required to bring your own packed lunch, which should consist of sandwiches rolls or salad etc. Drinking water and plenty of snacks (energy bars). Also food can be arranged on arrival in Sneem at a traditional Irish bar at request of the group.

What’s to see?: On this trip we will pass 2 castles, discover the beautiful Blackwater estuary and paddle its wooded shores. Get friendly with the seals, spot up to thirty species of birds, and much more wildlife to add. Have lunch on deserted island and then explore parknasilla bay and the Sneem estuary at our leisure.

2 day sea kayaking from Star Outdoors Kenmare to Caherdaniel

Day 1 as above:
We will set up camp in the picturesque Sneem River estuary, from where we will trek to Sneem and to enjoy the food, drink agus craic!

Day 2:
Breakfast at 9:00am, which will be included in the cost. Then we will break camp pack up kayaks and begin our journey at 11:00am approx.

Distance: 15km
Duration: 5 hours

Food: You will be required to bring your own lunch as per day one. Also food can be arranged on arrival at Castlecove beach bar at the request of the group.

What’s to see?: We will discover a coast line more baron than the previous day, and realise the raw beauty of the Inveragh peninsula. For the more adventurous among the group perhaps the opportunity to do some bouldering and cliff jumping! Explore the islands of Cove Harbour and stop for a well deserved pint at the end of our journey at castlecove beach bar.

3 hour midnight sea kayaking trip of the Kenmare Bay

Duration: 2 hours, begins at 10:00pm
Distance: 5 km

Food: If one would like to bring a picnic please feel free to do so, as there are many idyllic islands we can stop off at.

What’s to see?: On this trip we will discover the beauty of the Kenmare Bay by night, as we paddle and disturb the phosphorescence they will glow and provide a spectacle in its paralleled in its beauty! Also we will explore the island and listen to the sounds the birds and animals of the night.

This trip is weather and light permitting.

Some kayaking experience and a good fitness level will be required to take part in this trip.
