ISA Start Sailing (Level 1)

Objective

By the end of this course you will be sailing in light wind conditions with assistance from your instructor.

Previous knowledge / experience

You should be bale to demonstrate the skills & knowledge included in taste of Sailing.

Types of Boats

this course may be completed in any type of sailing dinghy, small keel boat or catamaran. We use 3 types of Sailing Crafts which are a Declic, Pico & Ludic. Your certificate will show what type of boat you used.

Duration

Course must be completed  in 2 – 10 days, our courses are designed that you will have it completed over 4 days From 18.00pm – 21.00pm each day and if you miss a day or 2 in one week your welcome to run it into the next week if we have availability.

Course Cost: €179 p.p.

Assessment

Assessment is continuous throughout the course. However, your instructor may also choose to use a formal practical assessment of boat handling skills & short written paper or oral interview in assessing your level of background knowledge.

ISA Basic Skills (Level 2)

Objective

By the end of this course you will be sailing on your own in light wind conditions without assistance from your instructor.

Previous knowledge / experience

You will be expected to be able to demonstrate the skills & knowledge included in the Start Sailing course.

Types of Boats

This course may be completed in any type of sailing dinghy, small keel boat or catamaran. We use 3 types of Sailing Crafts which are a Declic, Pico & Ludic. Your certificate will show what type of boat you used. when this course is compleated in single handed boats the sections relating to crew or those marked with an asterisk may be omitted.

Duration

Course must be completed  in 4 – 10 days, our courses are designed that you will have it completed over 5 days From 18.00pm- 21.00pm each day and if you miss a day or 2 in one week your welcome to run it into the next week if we have availibility.
