Dingy sailing is the most responsive type of sailing as the vessel is so light you get instant feedback from your actions.

You will very quickly understand the effects of the wind and your actions due to the size of the craft. Take to the water and explore the Kenmare bay with many attractions to see such as seals, dolphins, lots of different species of birds, castles and much more with the wind in your sails there is endless options and destinations.

We have three types of sail boats available for hire;

  • Ludic – The Ludic is a large dinghy with an asymmetrical spinnaker. It offers easy handling and good performance under various loading conditions. It comfortably seats a group or family of up to 8 persons. Designed to be easily sailed double-handed, by three or more people.
  • Declic – This is the ideal boat to enjoy sailing with your family. It is large and stable hull as well as the spacious and comfortable cockpit make this boat really accessible. The Declic will follow the level of your skill, trapeze, spinnaker.
  • Pico - The Laser Pico is a fun and durable boat that can be sailed by everyone. It’s ideal for entry-level sailors and has a spacious self-draining cockpit and a high boom.
  • Sail boats can be hired by those holding a minimum of a Level 1/Start Sailing Certificate or equivalent. Professional ISA qualified instructors are also on hand to offer advice if required.

    It is also possible to hire an instructor to take you on a sailing trip starting from 1 hour up to a full 6 hour day trip to explore the bay and maybe visit the seal colony requiring no more effort than sitting down and enjoy the views of the Kenmare bay in all its beauty. Bring along a packed lunch to enjoy on one of the uninhabited islands on the bay!
