Star Outdoors is your one stop shop for a fun girl’s weekend away; fun, adventure, dining and accommodation. We provide a wide range of land and water activities, from cruising on Kenmare Bay to more active options such as sailing, kayaking and archery.

We offer 3 popular packages as follows:

1 Hour Cruise

Charter your own cruise boat, the Star of Kenmare, for a one hour trip on Kenmare Bay, mini-bar, music and guide on board, bring along your own cd’s and have a sing along!

Prices
€15.00 per person on scheduled trips or Group discount, minimum of 8 pax
€12.00 per person.

Private hire of cruise boat: €250, low season, October – May, and €300.00 high season, June – September. (*Maximum number 50 people per sailing)

2 hour package

Fun, adventure and challenges all in one! Choose either 2 water based options such as kayaking, canoeing, sailing, raft building OR 2 land based activities from archery, orienteering, Murder Mystery or Team Challenges. Rate €40.00 per person.

3 hour package

Dry, wet or half and half! Choose 2 water based, 3 land based or have half land/ water. The choice is yours just choose from the list above. Rate €50.00 per person.

We also have self catering accommodation in Kenmare town, located just minutes from the town centre, and we provide transport to and from our centre for groups doing activities. Plan, prepare and undertake a 2 day, 1 night adventure journey in a group covering a minimum distance of: Walking 25km and Canoeing 25km.

• GOING FOR GAISCE – SILVER

Plan, prepare and undertake a 3 day, 2 night adventure journey in a group covering a minimum distance of: Walking 50-79km and Canoeing 50-79km.

• THE OUTDOOR SURVIVAL EXPEDITION

Our outdoor survival expedition is one of our most popular courses where we work with a team of Transition year students. Over the initial days we train the group in the various skills necessary for an expedition over the hills of Kerry. On the final days the students take on this expedition under their own steam.

During the expedition the students have to cope with the stresses of an arduous journey in a wilderness environment. They will confront the physical challenges of mountain climbing, canoeing and camping. The expedition will teach students how to work as a group to reach collective decisions, share skills, chores and help out the weaker partners in order to succeed.
